Mr Price launches its own beauty range

Nothing in the range costs more than R100.

Durban was abuzz with influencer activity on Tuesday for the launch of retailer Mr Price’s first-ever beauty brand; Scarlet Hill.

Why the name Scarlett Hill?

Well, according to the Mr Price website, scarlet comes from the colour ‘scarlet red’, which is a fierce and sassy version of our iconic MRP red.

“Hill goes way back, like back to 1985, to where the first-ever MRP store was opened, Brickhill Road. Yeah, talk about a throwback!” explained the brand.

For the launch, they partnered with musician Shekhinah and make-up artists Lungile Thabethe who will be the first-ever Scarlet Hill influencers.

The Scarlet Hill range is pretty extensive featuring everything you could ever think of from contour, blush and eyeshadow palettes to false nails, false lashes and makeup brushes.

They also have bath bombs, shower caps, eyelash curlers

Prices range from R9.99 to R89.99.
