‘Mbongo Zaka’ hitmaker Rouge beaten during hijacking
The Congolese-born rapper has allegedly been beaten and suffered extreme bruising in the traumatic incident.

Young hip-hop superstar Rouge, the woman behind the hits Mbongo Zaka and Sheba Ngwan O, suffered at the hands of hijackers on Friday morning. Rouge (real name Barbara Wedi) was attacked on Main Road in Kyalami, Johannesburg at 1am.
She was on her way home after a gig at Cantare Dinner and Dance in Montecasino. According to her record company David Gresham Entertainment Group she was violently assaulted during the ordeal. The Congolese-born rapper has allegedly been beaten and suffered extreme bruising in the traumatic incident. It’s been confirmed that her car was stolen, but has been recovered later in the morning. She has cancelled all performances in the meantime. Police are investigating.
