The search is on for SA’s 25 ‘best Instagrammable locations’

South Africa was recently voted in the top 5 most Instagrammable countries in the world.

South African Tourism, in partnership with Travelstart and @SouthAfrica, has begun the search to find the 25 most Instagrammable locations in the country.

In an effort to celebrate 25 years of democracy, fifteen local and international Instagrammers from the USA, Canada, Germany, and Australia will descend on attractions and spots in all nine South African provinces to photograph the “best 25 Instagrammable locations”.

These pictures will be shared on all SA Tourism’s global social media platforms and will be driven by the @MeetSouthAfrica account on Instagram. In addition to this, content will be featured on @Travelstart and @SouthAfrica.

The Insta Tour will end in the seaside town of Arniston in the Western Cape on April 27.

SA Tourism CEO, Sisa Ntshona, said: “We live in a creative yet exciting world where images and visuals of beautiful places play a huge part in people’s decision making when it comes to choosing a holiday destination.

“Having 15 Instagrammers scouting the [entirety] of South Africa for the 25 best Instagrammable locations will further highlight the beauty South Africa has to offer and will expose the world to some of our lesser known sights, [that are] still worth travelling to see.”

South Africa was recently voted in the top 5 most Instagrammable countries in the world following a survey by Big Travel 7 which featured 192 countries.

Travelstart and @South Africa say they are extremely excited by the potential and quality of the photos that will make the top 25 Instagrammable locations in South Africa.

Craig Rodney from @SouthAfrica said: “South Africa is one of the most photogenic countries on the planet, and I’m incredibly proud to help showcase the beauty of our country with the rest of the world. South Africa is one of the most Instagrammable countries on earth, and I love that we get to showcase 25 of our most photographic locations with the world. This is the second time I partner with SA Tourism and I am excited about this campaign.”

The Instameet scheduled for April 27, 2019, and will be the second Instameet hosted by SA Tourism.

An Instameet is an Instagram get together, where anyone with a love for photography, travel, and Instagram join up in one place and collectively take pictures and share their stories and passion for photography.
