In an opinion piece for the Daily Sun, controversial Khanyi starts off by saying she sympathises with woman who have been cheated on, before lamenting the fact that revelations about adultery automatically means that someone looses a role model or inspirational figure.
“The unanswered question is still a mystery. Men usually cheat on a “perfect” woman with the looks, the body and the brains . . .” writes Khanyi, who famously had an affair with notorious, married businessman Theunis Crous.
She goes on to reveal that she thinks the mysterious factor behind this unanswered question is money, and that well-to-do men end up cheating on women who they were with before they were rich because their affluence changes their idea of an ideal woman.
“The woman who stood by them through thick and thin no longer resembles the money and new life that they are about to embark on,” she continues.
“IT’S REALLY SAD, although the common saying is that all that money is showing the Devil’s face in full flesh.
“ONE THING I’VE LEARNT in my little stint of home-wrecking is that you do not want to come between vows that two people made in the house of the Lord before Christ and witnesses. It is bound to blow up in your face horribly . . . [sic]”
