A special Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss, customized by Bamford Watch Department in a limited-edition version based on Chanel’s creative director, has gone on sale yesterday (03.12.13).
The sophisticated timepiece, priced at 19,000 euros ($25,820), can be purchased at Karl Lagerfeld flagship boutiques in Paris and Munich, WWD is reporting.
The watch has been created in Lagerfeld’s signature monochrome personal aesthetic, with a mini portrait of the designer at 7 p.m. and his signature at the base.
London-based company Bamford personalizes sports watches independently from the brands.
This isn’t the first time Lagerfeld has been turned into an object. A capsule collection from Japanese-inspired company tokidoki’s featured clothing inspired by the fashion mogul, as well as a special figurine of the German-born star cuddling his beloved pet cat Choupette.
Lagerfeld is gearing up for the launch of his biggest European store to date in March 2014, when a 2,7000 square foot shop opens its doors on London’s Regent Street.
It will stock men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections including handbags, leather goods, scarves, eyewear, watches and shoes as well as limited editions and special objects, and utilize technology to give shoppers a new experience.
