How to perfect the no-makeup look

Perfect the look in four easy steps.

You can glow and still look your best with almost no effort when you go for the no-makeup look.

If you don’t want to leave the house without wearing makeup but don’t have enough time to put it on, the no-makeup look is for you. It is perfect for people who are lazy but still want to look like they #wokeuplikethis.

The no-makeup look does require some makeup though. On the upside, it makes you look fresh, flawless and natural. In other words, it’s like you aren’t wearing any makeup at all.

Not all of us are lucky enough to have that glowy, beautiful, au-naturale look like Wonder Woman. But we sure can try.

Here’s a quick guide on how to nail the no-makeup look without breaking your budget.

1. Face

Start off by creating a flawless complexion. When it comes to this, BB (beauty balm) and CC (colour correcting) creams are your best friends.

They moisturise your skin and even out your skin tone. As an added bonus, they also offer sun protection and are much lighter than foundation.

You can also use a concealer to hide any blemishes or redness.

2. Cheeks

Fake a natural flush and get those rosy cheeks. Add a little extra colour to your face with some blush.

Go for a cream blush as it will give you a more soft and radiant look. Your best picks are pinks, peaches and plums (depending on your skin colour of course).

3. Eyes

Brows and lashes are everything when you’re trying to look good but not overdoing it.

Brush those eyebrows and fill in any gaps with a pencil. Don’t forget to apply coat or two of mascara to your eyelashes.

Defined brows and luscious eyelashes are all you need.

4. Lips

Finally, use a tinted lip balm or lip stain. It is the easiest way to boost your natural lip colour.

The balms and stains hydrate your lips too, which means no more reaching over for that vaseline. They also give you a pop of colour, so major win!
