Try this exercise to burn calories

Try the crunch-chop exercise to burn calories

Start this exercise by lying on the floor or on a yoga mat (for added comfort). Your legs should be raised over your hips at a 90-degree angle and your arms should lie over your head.

Now, take a deep breath and as you exhale, do the following: Raise your head and shoulders off the floor. Then “open your legs so your arms chop through your legs”, as you crunch up.

How many repetitions should I do?

Try to repeat this movement for about one minute.

Note

“When you want to work your obliques, chop each hand through the opposite leg, for example, when you lift your head and shoulders off the floor, chop with right hand [past] your left leg and alternate… the sides’.

Experiencing discomfort?

Always stop if you experience any discomfort or pain and remember that the fitter you get, the more comfortable you will feel when exercising.

Consult your doctor

Always remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regime or making intense changes to your current one – especially if you suffer from any medical conditions and for some reason are required not to place your body or yourself under any form of stress or strain.
