Trendy, fashionista mums (and dads) take note

No, KAMERS/Makers is not just a market to walk between beautiful things while swirling a glass of MCC. The vibrant market returns to Irene’s Cornwall Hill College in Pretoria next week, where parents get to share in the vibrancy thanks to a number of exhibitors offering bespoke items for the under-13 set.

NANNAS
Made by grannies from all over South Africa, Nannas is a clothing brand that really takes the idea of home-made clothing and brings it into the world of purposeful purchases.

The stunning range of knitwear, fabric pieces and accessories is all part of this small business with the initiative to equip grannies with the necessary tools to regain purpose after retirement.

Each unique product is handmade by a selection of grannies. The products include knitted wear, summer wear and wooden toys.

There’s also a great colour palette that steers away from gaudy sequins and lumos – rather focused on calm earth tones. You also know each item is made by hand since there’s slight differences in each item, which makes it unique. They deliver countrywide, or you can pick up items in Pretoria. Alternatively visit KAMERS/Makers next week.

PINTUCK RESORT
Bold prints aren’t limited to ladies swimwear anymore. This summer go full-on Mommy and Me thanks to Pintuck Resort’s Petite Poppy range. Just like with all their swim and active wear, when ordering a Petite Poppy frill-back full piece you can pick any print or solid fabrick. If you visit their website the gorgeous prints will likely see you ordering more than one swimsuit. Pintruck Resort really personifies South African summer thanks to a great range of African-inspired prints, as well as trendy retro prints.

LAYZZZEE DAYZZZ
Call it a sleeper hit, but comfy pajamas can be a whole-day uniform during school holidays. That means fabric needs to be breathable so sensitive skin doesn’t get irritated, like so many synthetic fabrics tend to do. Enter Layzzzee Dayzzz, a fun 100% cotton pajama range for the whole family. Fun prints and quality fabrics made this Pretoria-based brand a go-to.
