Spaghetti sandwich
Ingredients
8 slices of toast
3 cups of spaghetti noodles
1 cup of spaghetti sauce
8 slices of mozzarella cheese
½ cup of butter, softened
2-3 cloves of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1½ teaspoon of Italian seasoning
Instructions
Prepare pasta according to package directions.
Make your spaghetti sauce, you can make homemade or just use jarred with hamburger (our homemade is linked).
In a bowl stir together softened butter, minced garlic, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
In a large pan heat on low heat, spread some of your butter on one side of your Texas toast and place in pan.
Place one slice of mozzarella cheese on top then add a little bit of spaghetti, top with some spaghetti sauce then another slice of mozzarella cheese.
Finally add your other slice of toast and spread with a little more butter.
Cover your pan with a lid and let grill slowly, we do this to make sure the cheese melts and it browns well.
Flip your sandwich and repeat.
Remove from pan and let sit for a few minutes to let cheese really melt and then slice in half if desired.
Preheat your grill pan. Brush 1 tablespoon of olive oil over each side of the chicken breast. Grill the chicken breast 3-5 minutes on each side depending on thickness. Alternatively you can heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a medium skillet over medium high heat and cook chicken flipping once, until cooked through.
Let the chicken rest 5 minutes before slicing across the grain.
On the meantime, grill the bread on each side until you see grilled marks and the bread is toasted. Spread 2 tablespoons of Caesar dressing over one slice of bread. Arrange chicken breast, avocados and greens over 4 slices of bread. Add more Caesar salad dressing if desired over the greens and place the other slice of bread.
Slice the bread in half lengthwise, forming two flat halves. Spread the goat cheese on each section of bread. Layer arugula on the bottom half and then ham over the greens. Fold and crumple the ham as you layer it on the bread. Form piles of ham across the bread to create the best texture.
Spoon the jam over the goat cheese on the top half of the bread. Close the sandwich and slice into smaller sections. Serve immediately.
In a bowl, mix minced beef, salt, pepper, pesto and egg until well combined. Form into patties by rolling the mixture into a bowl and then flattening it. You should get about 9-10 patties.
Place each patty on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Transfer in the oven and bake at 375°F/190°C for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Cut each bun in half. Take the bottom piece. Spread sweet chili sauce over. Lamb lettuce goes on next. Tomato slice. About a teaspoon of pesto. Burger patty. More lettuce. Cover with bun.
