Recipe: Spicy Mzansi mule slushie

A South African twist on the Moscow Mule.


Ingredients

1 cup ginger beer
¾ cup vodka
1 jalapeño pepper, deseeded and sliced
1 handful fresh mint leaves
¼ cup Rose’s Lime Flavoured Cordial
5 cups ice
330ml Rose’s Lime and Soda Flavoured Drink
Fresh mint and lime wedges, to garnish

Method

1. Combine the ginger beer, vodka, jalapeño pepper, mint leaves, lime cordial and ice in a blender.

2. Blend on low, gradually increasing speed as the ingredients mix together.

3. Pour the thick and icy mixture into two enamel mugs.

4. Top up each mug with the Lime and Soda Flavoured Drink.

5. Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wedge.
