Beat the heat with the coolest coffee trend for 2018 – enjoying your favourite caffeine fix on ice!
To celebrate Nespresso’s brand new limited edition capsules, Intenso on Ice and Leggero on Ice, celebrity chef Clement Pedro has stirred up three scrumptious iced coffee recipes to sip on this summer.
Treat yourself to the first recipe in the series – a zesty, fresh and fabulous coffee and tonic with orange.
Ingredients
40ml Nespresso Leggero on Ice
2 orange peels (without pith)
250ml good quality tonic water
100ml orange blossom water
Ice, as required
Method
1. Top up a large red wine glass with enough ice to half fill the glass.
2. Add the freshly prepared Nespresso Leggero on Ice to the ice, along with a twist of orange peels and orange blossom water.
3. Stir to blend and dissolve into the ice.
4. Top the glass with more ice before pouring over the tonic water.
5. Hold a lighter to the remaining orange peel before squeezing, causing a burst of orange oil to flame.
6. Run the orange peel across the rim of the glass, and serve immediately with a straw.
