The FNB Sauvignon Blanc Top 10 was on everybody’s lips last week.
The competition lists what is considered to be the best Sauvignon Blanc out of 176 entries.
The Durbanville Wine Valley clinched four spots with D’Aria The Songbird 2017, De Grendel Koetshuis 2017, Diemersdal Winter Ferment 2018 and Nitida Wild Child 2017.
Tokara Reserve Collection Elgin Sauvignon Blanc 2018 from the estate’s new winemaker Stuart Botha also too a spot on the list.
“This Sauvignon Blanc shows remarkable ageability and will evolve with correct cellaring over the next few years,” says Botha.
Another dazzling entry is Fryers Cove Doring Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2017. It’s more of a casual drinking wine.
Rounding out the top 10 is Bellingham Homestead 2018, Flagstone Free Run 2017, Rustenberg 2018 and Zalze Vineyard Reserve 2017 (Kleine Zalze).
