Revamped by the owner, Vasili Vacratsas, the place resembles a modern Mediterranean-style restaurant, small yet spacious with white and blue interior that extends to the outside patio. It’s also quiet and peaceful – minimalist in appearance, though the food is indulgent.
With traditional Greek music in the background, casual and informal in style, Visili’s offers good food at a good price and a dining experience suitable for the whole family. With an extensive a la carte menu that offers both Greek and Portuguese specialties, the kitchen serves up a delicious prawn curry, as well as a variety of seafood dishes for which Vacratsas is renowned. There’s also a selection of chicken, steak, pizza, and pasta dishes – and the popular lamb kleftiko – each listed with a suggested wine pairing.
An in-house butchery guarantees freshness, which undeniably manifests in the quality of the food (even if the facility is not great in terms of aesthetics). The sirloin is a house favourite: tender, tasty and cooked to perfection.
If you’re still not satisfied, try a sweet treat – chocolate mousse, crème caramel or Greek kisses.
