Chardonnay and Pinot Noir festival back in Johannesburg
The festival has been sold out since it started in Gauteng eight years ago.
Wine Menu’s Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Festival will be back in Johannesburg on May 30th. The event is set to highlight over 80 high-end, award-winning Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.
With tickets priced at R250 guests can expect to sample wines from a number of estates including Oak Valley, Hartenberg, Jordan, Bouchard Finlayson, Creation, Thelema and Springfield, with an assortment of special paired snacks.
One of the big attractions of the festival is the opportunity to buy the wines on offer, many of which are no longer available in the stores.
Participation by estates is by invitation only with organiser Corlien Morris of Wine Menu choosing what wines will be available for tasting, to ensure that only the best is shown at the festival which has been sold-out since it first started in Gauteng eight years ago.
Says Morris: “This is a targeted wine experience that focuses on the flavours and nuances of these two famous Burgundian varietals. We are delighted to be showcasing the best examples that South Africa produces. These are serious show-stopping wines.”
