3 ways to take care of your teeth between dental visits

It is vital to take care of your gums and teeth between your regular visits to the dentist as plaque is continually forming on your teeth.

Here are three things that you can do to take care of your teeth between dental visits.

Brush your teeth

Ensure that you are brushing your teeth properly on a daily basis. Brushing of teeth should be done twice daily using a good quality fluoride toothpaste as well as an electric toothbrush.

Floss

Use dental floss to clean the areas between your teeth, at least once daily. Alternatively, you could use an interdental brush.

Mouth rinse

A mouth rinse will not only help you to get a fresher breath, but it will also help to get rid of plaque bacteria so try to invest in a suitable one if you are not already doing so.

See your dentist for more information and advice regarding good dental care when at home.
