Fashion highlights from the Met Gala 2019

The eagerly awaited Met Gala was held Monday, May 6 in New York, with this year’s theme — “Camp: Notes on Fashion” — calling for a certain degree of extravagance.

Both male and female guests got creative to make this red carpet parade one of the year’s most impressive yet, playing with volume, sparkle and shine, asymmetric designs and eccentric accessories.

Here’s a look at some of the standout outfits from the 2019 Met Gala.

Lady Gaga put on quite a show, revealing her four Brandon-Maxwell-designed outfits in a fashion striptease. The star wore a fuschia pink coat, a black dress, a second electric pink satin dress and crystal-embellished underwear.
