‘She can take all my money’ – Social media reacts to Londie London’s new business venture

Londie London's new 100-inch braiding hair has dethroned Darling X-Pression hair piece which measures up at a reported 82 inches.


Londiwe Siphiwokuhle Zulu, popularly known as Londie London, is making major money moves with her latest venture into the hair business.

The former Real Housewives of Durban (RHODurban) star has teamed up with manufacturer Afrotex to launch her very own line of signature braiding hair, simply named the Londie London Braid.

The braiding hair is no ordinary hair either as it comes with a unique selling point of being a stunning 100 inches long, making them the longest braids in Africa.

This also means the hair beats the current favourite, Darling X-Pression hair piece which measures up at a reported 82 inches.

Londie soft launches her latest business venture

The musician-turned-reality star has been hinting at the exciting news on social media for weeks, even abandoning her signature weave and wig looks for braids that almost touch the ground.

Social media has been filled with rumours about the personal life of the reality TV star since she announced her split from businessman Hlubi Nkosi a few months ago.

Three specific rumours relating to polygamy, Londie driving a Toyota Tazz signalling that she is down and out and paternity of the couple’s two children have been circulating. She denied the veracity of the rumours on her Instagram account.

Londie London further expressed her concern about people lying about her but pleaded for respect towards her and her children.

Moja Love news outlet Zimoja also picked up on the rumours, reporting that she was struggling after her separation which was fuelled by issues surrounding the paternity of one of her children and her opposition to Nkosi’s wish for a polygamous marriage.

Support and excitement for Londie’s business venture

In the comments section on Instagram and over on Twitter, scores of people congratulated her and expressed their excitement to support her brand.

Thobile Khumalo, who was on The Real Housewives of Durban alongside her, congratulated her while Quick Face founder, Ayanda Thabethe, also showed love by praising her.

Content creator LaSizwe also joined in by expressing his happiness for her. Other comments spoke to how the new venture is a great source of generational wealth and a number of people asked how much a packet of the hair would cost.
