Bryoni Govender, Miss South Africa’s first runner-up, will be representing South Africa in the international 2023’s Miss Universe pageant.
She has already flown to El Salvador, where the competition will be held on 18 November, to represent South Africa, because the current Miss South Africa Natasha Joubert cannot compete.

Despite this, Joubert will be in the audience supporting her.
“I will be the one in the crowd with the South African flag… For me, Miss South Africa was always the goal. I wanted this job,” she said.
Speaking of her selected outfit for the pageant, Govender said: “My entire wardrobe is very well thought out; it comprises vibrant patterns and colours which represent the warm spirit and diversity of the South African people.”

“So proud of you, my Queen,” he captioned a recent Instagram post dedicated to her, to which she replied that she loved him.
The couple haven’t shared where they met, but they seem to be winning in the love and career game.
We take a look at her best fashion looks:
Bryoni wears a bright summer two-piece with a long-tiered skirt. She pairs it with a top of the same fabric, gathered on the shoulder with a fuchsia and orange fabric rose. The dress was designed just for her by rv_couture.
The couture house also makes wedding gowns, and celebrities like Minnie Dlamini have been spotted wearing their summer kimonos by the pool.
In this look, Govender wears a long off-white elegant dress made by exodus-original to a high tea commemorating African fashion week.
A style that is classic with a twist, the long off-white dress has a belted waist with ruched shelling detailing running down the left-hand side, another one-of-a-kind designer piece.

She wears a mid-length, slightly sparkly body con dress with angular top straps and varying green designs, showcasing her long gorgeous legs.
She accessorizes the gown with strappy diamante shoes and green chandelier earrings.
She’s seen twirling for the camera in a long Khosi Nkosi dress with a cross-back design and fabric with motifs that appear like painted peacock feathers.
She wears her dress with brown square-heeled sandals and ties her hair in a high bun to highlight the colour and detailing.
While posing on the ramp at the Miss South Africa, Bryon posts a snap with her partner, Samir Nurkovic.
Her finalist gown was made by top South African designer Gert-Johan Coetzee and had green detailing and beading.

The centre bodice is synched to accentuate the waist, while the neckpiece has the same beading as the lower half of the dress.
Paired up with an ivy-green lined satin cape, the dress is a work of art.
Samir wears a black suit and maroon bow tie, while he holds his partner’s hand in a congratulatory pose.
