Wiseman Zitha has been serving top-notch fashion goals this year, and we are here for it.

The actor and model is popularly known for his character in South Africa’s first Xitsonga drama, Giyane: Land of Blood. His good looks and physique have also opened doors for him as he worked as a full-time model before he made his acting debut.

Acting career

Straight out of varsity, Wiseman scored his first acting gig on Giyane: Land of Blood, starring alongside the legendary Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Rami Chuene, Charles Baloyi, and other TV stars. He played the lead role of Musawahosi “Musa” Baloyi, a young lawyer in his late 20s seeking justice for his father.

At the show’s launch in 2019, Wiseman said he did not think he would get the role.

“I graduated last year (2018). I studied drama at the Tshwane University of Technology, and as soon as I graduated, auditions for this show started, and I auditioned. However, at the time, I was in Cape Town because I model full time as well, and auditions were in Limpopo, so I recorded my audition on my phone, then I got a callback, and now I play Musa,” he said.

The talented actor has also played other notable characters on big Mzansi shows like Muvhango, where he played the role of Ndemedzo and Mondli on The River.

Growing up in the village

Wiseman shared that growing up in a village in Limpopo, an acting career was a far-fetched dream. He said his parents wanted him to study teaching or law, like them.

“When you are from the villages, you tend to think that the village life is the only life that is out there. You are not open to dreaming. The only people you look up to are nurses, teachers, and doctors, you don’t even imagine yourself being on television,” he said.
