Everything you need to know about Kanye West’s mental breakdown

According to E! News, a call was placed in the evening and under the alias Jim Jones and emergency services were summoned to pick Kanye West up after he apparently threatened to hurt the people around him. There are reports he was handcuffed to a gurney and placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold to stop him from being a danger to himself and the nurses and staff around him.

E! News also reports that during a concert, West abruptly stopped the show after performing two songs, dropped the mic and told everyone the concert was over. He made a bizarre rant rant about having a vision and went onto to prompt the press to have a field day writing about him.

He has also cancelled a string of concert dates totaling close to 200 at stadiums around United States. Ticket buyers will apparently be reimbursed.

Associated Press reports that West began acting erratically when he uploaded about 100 photos on his Instagram account, most of the images were blurry or out of focus.

On Sunday he canceled his tour just before it was about to start. On Monday, West had a mental breakdown while visiting his trainer Harley Pasternak, amidst claims he has been mentally exhausted, dehydrated and suffering from stress.

The latest update is that he is doing fine after receiving treatment at hospital.

West’s last tweet was on October 21 when he wished his wife Kim Kardashian West a happy birthday by uploading a video of her and her sisters when they were younger. Prior to that he tweeted on September 4, giving the world a clue to his mental state when he said he got rid of his phone so he could have some air to create.

Kim rushed to be by his side after hearing the news of her husband’s hospitalisation. She was set to make an appearance at a cancer event in honour of her father, together with her mother Kris Jenner and sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.

Meanwhile, celebrities have taken to social media to wish West a speedy recovery.
