Bontle Modiselle has been crowned the winner of 'The Masked Singer South Africa' season 3 after being revealed as Spotty in the SABC2 singing competition.

Dancer and choreographer Bontle Modiselle has won season three of The Masked Singer South Africa.
Modiselle was revealed as Spotty, the character who took home the Golden Mask trophy in the SABC2 singing competition.
Modiselle joins previous winners Holly Rey and Warren Masemola. Rey won the first season as Lollipop, while Masemola was revealed as Giraffe in season 2.
Four celebrities unmasked in the finale
The finale featured two face-offs and a final showdown between the remaining contestants.
Mosquito defeated Chopsticks in the first face-off, while Spotty beat Gogga to secure a place in the final.
Spotty and Mosquito then competed for the Golden Mask trophy.
Mosquito was revealed as Robot Boii, and Chopsticks was unmasked as Khanyi Mbau, while Gogga was revealed to be Afro-jazz singer Judith Sephuma.
Somizi identifies the winner
The show’s detective panel comprises J’Something, Somizi Mhlongo, Sithelo Shozi and Skhumba Hlophe attempted to identify the remaining contestants using clues and performances throughout the season.
During the first face-off, Chopsticks and Mosquito performed APT by Rosé and Bruno Mars.
J’Something guessed that Chopsticks was actress Nandi Madida. However, Somizi, Shozi and Hlophe correctly identified Mbau.
After Gogga lost the face-off against Spotty, the character was revealed as Sephuma.
J’Something recognised Sephuma’s voice and recalled working with her before starting his own career. Somizi also identified the singer after connecting a clue about cinematic greatness to composer Hans Zimmer.
Shozi guessed that Gogga was actress Nomzamo Mbatha, while Hlophe suggested singer Dr Rebecca Malope.
Bontle Modiselle takes home the Golden Mask
The final showdown saw Spotty and Mosquito perform Drive by Black Coffee and David Guetta.
The detectives agreed that Mosquito was Robot Boii.
Identifying Spotty proved more difficult. J’Something was torn between Modiselle and singer-songwriter Boohle but ultimately chose the wrong name. Shozi guessed Spotty was actress Vatiswa Ndara, while Hlophe named sports broadcaster Motshidisi Mohono.
Somizi correctly identified Modiselle as Spotty. He also won the Golden Ear trophy, awarded to the detective with the most correct first guesses during the season.
He correctly identified Khanyi Mbau, Lasizwe and Judith Sephuma.
After winning the competition, Modiselle spoke about what the experience meant to her.
“I had fun and the time of my life, and, you know, the eight-year-old me who was insecure and didn’t think she was able or capable was validated for 13 weeks,” she said.
