Singing sensation Vusi Nova, real name Vusi Nongxo revealed to Zaziwa Presenter Pearl Modiadie that he turned to drugs to deal with the pain after losing his mother. The singer confessed to using all kinds of drugs after the death of his mom.
The Nomakanjani hitmaker who recently decided to work on his music in honour of his mom indicated that his addiction to drugs led him onto a route of destruction, and nearly took everything away from him.
“I was a spoilt child, my mother used to spoil me,” Nongxo said on the show, adding that he spent the inheritance his mom left him in ten months. “I spent about R500K in ten months,” he pointed out.
Nongxo says his turning point came when he woke up one day and decided to turn his life around for the better. So far it has been reported that Nongxo is clean and is looking forward to releasing his highly-anticipated album, which features the likes of Nathi and Zahara.
