Uzalo viewers are bewildered at the standard of season seven and asking what is happening on the most watched soapy in the country?
The award-winning local drama has been praised for its dramatic storylines and acting skills by the likes of Dawn Thandeka King, Gugu Gumede and Thabo Mnguni, who plays Mbatha. But season seven has been criticised for being too cluttered and disjointed.
Recently fans watched the end of Gabisiline story line. As tensions reached a climax after her husband, Qhabanga, overheard her declaring her plans to confess her sins – killing three of his family members.
Without knowing he had overheard her, Gabisile then confessed her sins directly to her husband who reacted by choking her to death. But since then, fans have been left unhappy and wanting more since the high profile departures of Thandeka King and Baby Cele. The introduction of businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize hasn’t helped either.

When Uzalo started it was a story of two families in the township of KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal. The Mdletshe family, are power players in the KwaMashu Kingdom Church and the Xulu family run a car theft syndicate.
Both families are connected because their eldest sons were switched at birth during the dawn of democracy.
