Here’s Twitter’s proof that Bonang wrote the first error filled version of her book

It all began when her boyfriend, AKA, tweeted a direct quote from her:

“’You can’t have fun if you don’t have money’ – Bonang Matheba”

Bonang and AKA are renowned for their lavish spending. They regularly holiday around the world, travel first class, and consume ‘the finer things in life’.

However, the statement was seen as boastful by most of their followers – who simply cannot afford to live the life they do.

Although that tweet garnered many responses, it was Ralf Gum’s reply that caught the eye. The DJ responded to AKA by saying:

Bonang’s response came two days later, and although she tweeted with her usual confidence, it seems as if she got ahead of herself because most of her followers didn’t understand the context of the question she asked:

And then came the replies:

The statement was "money cant buy happiness" so where does her "can you have fun when you're not happy fit here?🤔 what does she mean anyway???

It's sad that even at your age with the amount of knowledge you've acquired through out your life you can't distinguish Happiness from Excitement.. but to answer your question, yes you can have fun when you're not happy simply because you're just excited, it's something temporal.

Perhaps the cruelest jibes came from those who compared her grammar in this question, to that in the first edition of her book, From A to B.

The book was highly criticised for its poor editing, and numerous grammatical and factual errors before it was recalled and republished. It seems people haven’t forgotten:

In the end, Bonang retaliated by blocking most of the Twitter users who were giving her grief.
