According to Drum, the television presenter will make her first appearance in the soapie “soon”, when she takes over from actress Nolwazi Shange, who first introduced the character to the public in May this year.
When introduced by Shange, Kgomotso was a nice, bashful girl, but Nonhle’s version of the character will apparently be “the pregnant, unwanted, nagging girlfriend of Moss Cele”.
Speaking to the publication of this upcoming role, Nonhle said: “I’m thrilled at the opportunity to join the cast of ‘Zabalaza’.
“Not only is the show the first of its kind in the genre of Lokshin soapies but the cast have done a great job of bringing a township story right into the homes of viewers all over the country. It is going to be wonderful to be part of that.”
‘Zabalaza’ airs on Mzansi Magic at 9pm, Mondays to Thursdays. It will also be broadcast on new M-Net channel Mzansi Wethu from 2 December.
