5 things you need to know about Dr Tumi’s wife
Dr Tumi and his wife Kgaogelo Makweya were both arrested on fraud charges on Tuesday and released on R3000 bail.

Following the bombshell news that gospel superstar Dr Tumi, real name Tumisang Victor Makweya, and his wife Kgaogelo Sara Makweya were arrested on Tuesday on fraud charges with two other co-accused, not much is known about his wife.
The two were released on R3,000 bail and the two co-accused on R5,000.
The Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team in Johannesburg arrested the couple following allegations of fraud to the tune of approximately R1.5 million.

Dr Tumi is known for his sold-out concerts and music that is frequently featured on top of the gospel charts. He is also a practising doctor, but not much is known about his wife.
Here is what you need to know about Kgaogelo Makweya:
Artist manager:
Mrs Makweya is her husband’s publicist. She recently spoke to The Citizen following an incident that saw Dr Tumi’s phone being snatched while running an errand in Midrand in late February.

Businesswoman:
Makweya is the owner of beauty, cosmetic and personal care company The Sultry. From their Instagram bio, the business motto is described as embodying “everything women are”.
“Partnering with all Women in their journeys of self-awareness and empowerment,” the bio reads. On offer for sale are fake, reusable lashes with magnetic application.
Singer:
Kgaogelo is featured on many of Dr Tumi’s songs, including one with Pastor S Khoza titled Love On The cross.

With the Christian faith the core of her platforms, she founded the ‘Girl Meets World’ that encourages women to engage in a conversation with God. Words of wisdom, inspiration and quotes are shared on the Instagram page in hopes of engagement among women.

Devoted wife:
The couple has been married since 2008. They have three children together. She openly shares loving messages to her husband on social media and recently shared a picture with Dr Tumi celebrating her birthday.
Dr Tumi has shared that Kgaogelo is an “amazing gift”.
