Daily hacks: Three ways to create more space in your travel bags

With the long weekend approaching, you might be planning to go on a little getaway by yourself or with your loved ones, or you could be planning to visit your family or friends who live outside of your town or city, to get a breath of fresh air.

Packing all your belongings, clothes and shoes can be a bit of a mission if you have not yet mastered ways to pack your travel bags efficiently and neatly, to allow for much more luggage space.

These luggage bags hacks will be sure to help you pack your travel bags in ways which will allow for you to pack even more clothes.

Zip-lock bag hack

Jess has shared a video on TikTok where she uses zip lock bags to pack her clothes before putting them into luggage bags.

In the video, she packs as many clothing items as she can into one zip- lock bag, and once the bag is full she rolls it out to get rid of any air, making the bag more compressed and thinner.

She repeats this step multiple times with more of her cloths and more zip log bags, until she is finally done packing all her clothes which all fit neatly in her travel bags.

Rolling pre-picked outfits

The next luggage hack will save you a lot of time when unpacking your luggage bag on your getaway or just picking out an outfit for the day while on your trip.

Christine has shared a video on TikTok where she picks out outfits for the number of days she will be on vacation, and then stacks each clothing item of the outfit on top of each other.

Once she has figured out her different daily outfits, she then rolls them up into one rolled up bundle, and then ties the rolled up bundle with a rubber band.

Once she is done rolling up all her outfits she then places one next to the other in her luggage bags, creating more space for her to put other things into her luggage bag, on top of her clothes.

Pillow case hack

The last hack is for the lazy travellers who do not mind messy packing and not taking all of their clothes and belongings on trips.

Yaneth Uresti has shared a video on TikTok where she simply stuffs any other extra clothing items which do not fit in her suitcase or travels bags into a pillow case.

Pillows are usually permitted on aircrafts at no additional costs. Holding the pillow case which has all your extra clothes gives the appearance that you are just carrying any ordinary pillow onto the airplane.
