Carl Thomas headed to South Africa

RnB singer Carl Thomas is headed to South Africa for an intimate evening of love on Valentines Day at the Sun Arena in Pretoria.

He will be performing alongside local musicians Vusi Nova and Ntsika on the evening.

Thomas, who is a Hurricane Harvey survivor, was discovered by Sean P.Diddy Combs in New York City. He was signed to Bad Boy Entertainment in 1997 leading to the release of his RnB album Emotional. Around 2001, the newcomer received a Best Male RnB artist nomination at the BET Awards and has since collaborated with artists such as Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, and Gerald Levert.

Thomas has also received a Grammy nomination for best R&B performance. His second album Let’s Talk was released on March in 2004. Thomas later took a sabbatical after the death of his brother, Duranthony Evans, who was killed in a drive-by shooting on Halloween.

He later released his third album So Much Better in 2007, which reached number 25 on the US Billboard 200. His last album Conquer was released on December 2011 with the single Don’t kiss me featuring rapper Snoop Dogg.
