Bonang gets a reality show on Vuzu

Bonang Matheba is getting a reality TV show, Being Bonang, with filming having started already. Bonang, who has shaken off rumours about her reality show before because of her busy schedule, was reportedly paid enough money to finally allow South Africans into her very private life.

The show will feature Bonang in her day to day business interactions alongside manager, Jay Badza, snippets of her romance with AKA, her close bond with her mom, the interwoven and often exhilarating relationship with her cousin Tebogo “Pinky Girl” Mekgwe, and good times with her friend Lorna Maseko.

The production will also highlight how the now, more well-rounded, more successful Bonang has transcended beyond her ‘it girl’ status, with a successful radio show, massive public persona, and thriving MC career.

“It’s the show everyone’s been waiting for. Bonang is finally at a point in her life where she’s comfortable to give her fans a glimpse of what they’ve been so eagerly anticipating. Viewers will see her outright versatility: juggling business success with family, romance, and all out stardom. For the first time we will get to see Bonang the daughter, the entrepreneur, the lover, and the confidant,” said Sphumelele Sibeko, Head of Reality for M-Net’s Local Entertainment Channels.

Bonang will co-produce the show that will broadcast on VUZU AMP this July

This year promises to be great for Queen B. She announced last year that her book would be available nationwide in April this year, news that gave her fans something to look forward to.

Without giving away more details about the book, fans are already saying Matheba will be talking about her drama with DJ Zinhle, Pearl Thusi and past relationship with DJ Euphonik. She probably won’t dish out dirt on him, as he has also said he has plenty of dirt on her.

We look forward to the book and the show.
