Beyoncé’s makeup artist Sir John is launching his own beauty line

Celebrity makeup artist Sir John looks poised to be the next big beauty expert to launch his own product line.
The creative has teamed up with a mystery partner on a surprise beauty launch for this year, he recently revealed to WWD.
Responding to the question of whether he would ever consider launching his own makeup line, Sir John divulged: “That’s totally happening now. I have two licensing deals. Some things are coming out this year and I think everyone’s going to be super surprised about who I’m partnering with.”

Sir John, whose glittering client list includes Beyoncé and Priyanka Chopra, is on a major roll at the moment, having also just been appointed the global ambassador of the luxury British-based beauty brand Alleven, which was founded by the model Celia Forner.
According to WWD, the makeup artist has been working with the label on extending its shade range, and coming up with a trio of new products: an ‘Instant Perfector’, a ‘Hyaluronic Airbrush Foundation’ and a ‘Total Body Serum’.
Launching his own beauty range would see Sir John tapping into a major current trend within the industry. Fellow makeup artists that have made similar moves over the past few years include Pat McGrath, whose Pat McGrath Labs brand has become wildly successful since it was first unveiled back in 2015, and Charlotte Tilbury, whose global eponymous range recently celebrated its fifth anniversary.

The celebrity go-to and creative director of Lâncome Lisa Eldridge dipped her toe in the waters with the launch of a trio of lipsticks last November, while the fashion industry favorite Gucci Westman also unveiled ‘Westman Atelier’ last year.
