L`Or sets the gold standard for events

We report back from this star-studded masquerade ball.

L`Or coffee recently teamed up with some of SA’s hottest celebs for The Gold Standard Masquerade event that took place on Thursday night at the HTA School of Culinary Art.

Guests including singer Kurt Darren, comedian Chris Forrest and all of the talent from The Voice SA danced to tunes and drank coffee-inspired cocktails alongside competition winners and other members of the public for an unforgettable evening of entertainment.

The MC for the evening Kriya Ganghia took the theme of black masquerade to heart and looked radiant as she announced a host of dancers, DJs and the delivery of numerous rounds of entrees.

Comedian Alfred Adriaan was also in attendance with his camera in hand, apparently recording the latest episode of his vlog, in which he takes people through the day-to-day life of a successful comedian.

By 11 pm it was all over as both celebs and fans slipped out the door with bags of coffee in hand and vanished into the night leaving only a few die-hards such as soap opera stars Wayne Van Rooyen and Terence Bridgett chatting to event organisers while the DJs packed away their equipment. All in all, this was a masquerade that set the gold standard.
