Bold lips are one of the hottest looks for spring and summer. Make sure you get the look right by following our tips.
Trendy colours for bold lips
Fabulous fuschias, juicy oranges and kissable corals lead the list of must-have hues. Reds remain a classic while magenta and purple tones also get the nod.
Formulas matter too
Matte lipsticks are a hot trend. But if this is too heavy for you, consider a lipgloss or moisturising lipstick instead. Anything goes as long as the pigments are vibrant.
Make sure it lasts
Keep your lip colour in place by lining your lips first, either in a matching hue or a nude tone. Then apply your lip colour to your lips. Blot then apply again. Matte formulas tend to stay on longer while glossier formulas require more frequent reapplications.
Getting the look right
Because the focus is on your lips, you need to keep your other makeup simple. Think glowing, dewy skin and a touch of mascara for day. For night, play up your eyes with some eyeliner and add a touch of blush or bronzer to your cheeks.
