Nomali Precious Mtambo (31) and her boyfriend, Mphakamisi Mbentsu (26), were recently arrested by Mayflower Police for the murder of Nomali’s husband, Jabulani Shadrack Khumalo on 12 December last year.
Reacting on a tip-off by a member of the community, the police found the deceased in his house with three open wounds to the head and an axe next to his body.
His wife was tied with electric cables to a chair in another room .
According to the wife, her husband was attacked by four unknown males while he was chopping wood with the axe found next to his body.
Police investigations with the help of the community of Dun Donald resulted in the arrest of the two suspects. They appeared in court on 7 January and their case was postponed to Tuesday for bail application.
