Hosted by Ugandan comedienne Anne Kansiime and Nigeria’s Basketmouth on Saturday night, the award ceremony saw the controversial rapper scoop “Best Male Southern Africa”, beating rap rival Cassper Nyovest and South African singer Donald as well as Botswana’s Zeus, Zambia’s Slap Dee, Zimbabwe’s Stunner, Namibia’s The Dogg and Botswana’s Vee.

He also won another award for “Best Collaboration” for his hit track “All Eyes On Me” featuring Burna Boy, Da L.E.S & J.R.
