Promoters of the Keyshia Cole tour of South Africa have been forced to cancel her upcoming performance due to numerous postponements from September last year.
“Unfortunately, under the current circumstances with a request for yet another postponement, we are unable to continue pursuing a new tour date yet again,” read the statement released by the concert organisers, Glen 21.
Cole was set to perform next weekend at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena, SunBet Arena the following day, and at Cape Town’s GrandWest Grand Arena on the 28th.
As recently as last week, South African R&B singer Elaine was announced as one of Cole’s opening acts.
“South African fans have shown immense excitement and loyalty, and we were truly looking forward to bringing Keyshia Cole to our shores,” said the organisers.
“We are incredibly disappointed to let fans down once again.”

Cole was initially supposed to tour South Africa in September last year, but those shows were postponed.
After the first postponement, new dates and venues were announced, and January 2025 was chosen as the substitute date.
Those shows were postponed again after her home was affected by the fires in Los Angeles.
According to Glen 21, the decision follows ongoing scheduling challenges with the artist’s team, who requested another postponement to accommodate the South African show within Cole’s upcoming global tour later this year.
“Despite rescheduling last year, followed by the further postponement due to the LA fire tragedy early this year, a confirmation video shared by the artist on social media confirmed it would finally go ahead next week, which sadly, now is not the case.”
However, even before the devastating LA fires, the organisers had initially said her second show during the tour would be at the Emperor’s Palace. They then switched venues to Carnival City without announcing it.
Ticket holders will be contacted directly with refund information, and the official ticketing platform plans to assist fans in the coming days.
