EFF national spokesperson and the people’s bae, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, announced on Friday that he had completed his degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Politics (PhD) from Wits University.
Congratulatory messages have been pouring in since, with the EFF telling SA’s youth to follow in his footsteps and get an education.
Messages of congratulations followed on Tuesday when Ndlozi addressed parliament.
Chairperson Thoko Didiza called Ndlozi and congratulated him before his address.
“Honourable Ndlozi, in my order, in my capacity as chairperson responsible for internal arrangements as well as learning and development, I would like to congratulate Honourable Ndlozi for the attainment of your doctorate,” she said.
The House stood up and honoured Ndlozi, who could not help but blush.
“Thank you, Honourable chairperson, thank you,” he said.
Didiza further congratulated other MPs who also finished their studies this year.
“Don’t be jealous, there were other people who were studying and passed, I’m the principal, I know,” she said.
However, EFF MP Mogamad Nazier Paulsen raised a point of order, and said it was only EFF MPs who congratulated Ndlozi, calling MPs who did not, “sour”.
