Kendrick Lamar’s latest album has broken the first-day record on Spotify after its surprise early release
Rapper Kendrick Lamar debuted a song called Untitled 2 on The Tonight Starring Jimmy Fallon last night. The funk and jazz influenced composition serves as a follow up to Untitled, which he performed on the last episode of the Colbert Report last year.
During the breakdown, the Grammy Award winner repeatedly sings the words ‘Cape Town’, before exploding into an aggressive heartfelt verse.
Kendrick Lamar made his way to our shores in Febuary 2014, performing in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
On his critically acclaimed 2015 sophomore album, To Pimp a Butterfly, Kendrick makes several mentions of South Africa.
