Whether you like them or not, the king of South Africa’s slapstick comedy Leon Schuster is back with another Mr Bones film.
Ster-Kinekor released the trailer of Mr Bones 3, Son of Bones on Monday and it stars Schuster’s long-time sidekick, Alfred Ntombela, as well as Jerry Mofokeng, Tumi Morake, Jay Anstey and Wandile Molebatsi.
The story is about a young man’s journey to overcome his challenges and prove himself as a man to his father, Mr Bones.
It also follows Mr Bones’ quest to find a treasure that could make them millionaires, coinciding with the development of a father-and-son relationship, in true Schuster style.

The movie will be in theatres in April 2022 and the trailer has already received a lot of attention.
Schuster’s movies over the years have been criticised for his use of black face and stereotypes to portray black people.
From his pranks and black accents, Schuster’s movies and his style of comedy are often divisive.
In light of the “woke” and “cancel culture” era, pro-Schuster fans claim that people are merely being oversensitive, as his movies have brought together a diverse audience through laughter.
There was confusion over why Schuster was trending on Twitter, as the actor’s name is often linked to false death reports.
Just this month, Schuster refuted another rumour of his demise.
The actor said this type of fake news was not funny to him.
“Can you imagine how your heart would feel if they said it to you? It’s not a nice thing to hear. The word ‘death’ doesn’t sit well with me.,” he told Netwerk24.
