This week’s episodes of Uyajola 9/9 were a mix of entertaining and boring as one ended in a car chase while the other saw the cheaters get chased through town on foot.
One episode featured Leema Ntshangase from Mdantsane.
Ntshangase enlisted the help of Uyajola 9/9, after her boyfriend of seven years, Siviwe Kebeni, started hiding his phone whenever she was around. She had also been struggling to reach him, which is irregular.
His recent temper towards her and the way he dresses also contributed to her suspicions he had been cheating on her.
Speaking to Jub Jub during the consultation, she revealed that Siviwe had cheated on her in the past and that she had forgiven him for it.
Leema said that she had cheated on him too, out of revenge, but later confessed to him because he never found out on his own.
She later told Jub Jub that she could not believe a “township guy” like him could betrayed her, a “Joburg girl.”
After beating up the woman she found Siviwe with, Leema hopped in the car with Siviwe and the pair sped off, only to be chased by Jub Jub and the Uyajola 9/9 team.
When they caught up with him, they parked him in and the confrontation continued.
He chased Jub Jub around the car for a while, only to give up and try to escape with Leema once again.
The woman he was cheating with then jumped out of the Uyajola van and tried to force him to leave with her. She told Siviwe to get Leema out of the car so he could take her home, to no avail.
He managed to close his doors and speed off, never to be seen again.
Mathapelo from Bloemfontein
Much like Leema, Mathapelo says her partner had cheated on her before and stopped after getting caught, but added that he suspicions were raised by his recent behaviour.
She told Jub Jub that he had been behaving the same way he did, the first time he cheated.
According to Mathapelo, Pene is a sangoma and often uses his work as an excuse to disappear and cheat on her.
Jub Jub and the Uyajola crew traced Pene to town, where he was found grabbing lunch with another woman and a crowd gathered around them to watch the drama unfold.
The two women exchanged blows and insults in front of the crowd and the Uyajola 9/9 crew, shortly before she and Pene tried to run through the crowd.
Mathapelo grabbed Pene and told him that he was not going anywhere, but failed to hold on to him as he slipped away and ran across the street.
The crowd and the Uyajola 9/9 crew caught up with them and it was revealed that Pene and the woman he was found with had been together for nine years.
When asked why he didn’t just tell her that he was no longer interested in her, Pene told Jub Jub that it was because he expected her to read between the lines and assume that he no longer wanted to be with her.
He was allowed to leave with his girlfriend while Mathapelo was left to lick her wounds in front of Uyajola 9/9 crew.
