It has been confirmed that media personality and former Idols SA judge, Somzi Mhlongo, is currently shooting a new episode of his popular reality TV show, Living The Dream with Somizi.
The choreographer has been on the move for the past few weeks as he dashed off to New York City for a couple of days with his best friend for a “bestiecation”, and then came back home to make multiple appearances as a host and guest at many gigs.
Club appearances and birthday tours, however, are not all the TV personality has been getting up to.
Speaking to Sunday World, a close friend of the dancer revealed that he is currently shooting his TV show, but is trying to keep it in under wraps because he is scared of the public’s reaction.
The source also mentioned how the show will be taking a different approach, and will not be about glam, but will also touch on the personal issues of Somizi’s life.
“He is not talking much about it, I guess part of him is scared of the public’s reaction. It won’t be about glam only.
“He is addressing so many personal issues production is taking a different approach that’s more docuseries than the fast-paced reality style,” said the friend.

When Sunday World reached out to MultiChoice for confirmation, senior manager for corporate communications, Francois Rank, confirmed that the TV personality was working on the new season of his reality show.
“Yes, Somizi resumed shooting,” said Rank.
Somizi’s estranged husband, Mohale Motaung, also gave comment to the publication and said viewers should not expect to see him on the reality TV show because he will not be a part of the new season.
“I’m not going to be part of the new season,” said Motaung.
The food lover recently bagged an international award nomination for his cookbook Dinner At Somizi’s: I Am Not A Chef in the celebrity chef-world category.
