The show is based on “housemates” who live together in a house that isolates them from the rest of the world, including not having communication with friends and family members. The housemates are constantly monitored by Big Brother and the viewers.
Contestants participate in competitions, build alliances and even relationships but the power remains in the hands of the viewers who vote for their favourite housemate – who eventually wins a R1 million grand prize.
The pull of the show is not just the 24-hour cameras but unknown faces who appear as the audiences get to know them on a personal level.
Twitter users want candour and fresh faces for the new season of Big Brother Mzansi and their list of demands includes no celebrities or social media influencers.
People are also excited about the details of the auditions and there was even suggestions to have scandal-hit presenter Katlego Maboe as host.
