Gauging from the excitement at the event, House of Villains is likely to top social media trending topics when it premieres.

The show will bring together 10 iconic and infamous reality television villains under one roof. Hosted by Joel McHale, the series will premiere with a 75-minute supersized episode on 29 October at 7:05 PM. Hailing from some of the most popular reality television franchises, these notorious villains meet their match as they must outsmart, out-manipulate and out-scheme each other through a series of challenges to win a $200,000 cash prize and the title of “America’s Ultimate Supervillain”.

Speaking to The Citizen at the event Mdoda said House of Villains is one show she must watch as she is a huge follower of Omorosa Manigault-Newman who had a fight with Donald Trump. She also said House of Pop is another programme that stands out for her.

The 4th season of E! Africa’s award-winning Celebrity Game Night concluded in June, and while no official announcement regarding Season 5 has been made, Anele told The Citizen at the event, that while she cannot reveal anything about a new season, all she can say is they usually start shooting in November, so they can launch everything by February/March.

“That is all I can tell you, but I know that a lot of celebrities have been calling asking when the next season is and if they can be on the show.”

Anele said while she does not pick the names of the celebs who are featured on Celebrity Game Night, she gets along with all of them.

The radio personality also dished on some of her favourite celebs she has hosted on the show.

“Comedian Mojak Lehoko. If Mojak is on your team, you never lose. I liked Minnie Dlamini because she is very competitive – that is what happens when you play hockey and netball as a child, you never want to lose. Boity was always great. Kelly Khumalo was flippin hilarious.

“The people who are great on Celebrity Game Night are the ones you never see outside of their comfort zone. So either they are always playing a role. So even Zikhona Sodlaka was great because she is an actress, but she is a big name, but she is always in character so to see her being herself on tv is nice,” said Mdoda.

E! is available on DStv Channel 124 across Africa and is now available to DStv Access viewers.
