Tonight on Idols SA – old school versus new school

Idols judge Randall Abrahams has been lecturing the Idols SA Season 10 contestants for weeks now about versatility, and this week will reveal if his words have had any effect when the Top 4 perform “Old School” hits in the first round of their performances at Pretoria’s State Theatre tonight, followed by “New School” songs in the second round.

In the “old school” round:

  • Bongi Silinda will perform Brenda Fassie “Too Late For Mama”
  • Kyle Deutschmann will perform Zahara’s “Loliwe”
  • Lize Mynhardt will perform Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel”
  • London Louw will perform Tina Turner’s “It”
  • Vincent Boneswill perform “Sondela” by Ringo Madlingozi

In the “new school”round:

  • Bongi will perform Hilson’s “Knock You Down”
  • Kyle will perform Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”
  • Lize will perform Michael Bublé hit “Feeling Good”
  • London will perform Duffy’s “Mercy”
  • Vincent will perform Usher’s “Climax”.

The Top 5 are rehearsing their songs under the musical mentorship of R&B and House singer Bucie this week, but of course only four of them will get to perform on Sunday, after one more Idol will be sent home at the top of the show.

Fans can also look forward to guest performances by former Idols participants.
