The Soil’s looking for Buhle’s replacement
The group is however on the search for a new female vocalist to replace Mda.

Accapela group The Soil are now looking for Buhle Mda’s replacement after the lead singer decided to take a break to follow her ancestral calling.
Mda took to social media to announce her journey with The Soil will be coming to an end.
In a video posted on Wednesday afternoon, Mda said: “As Africans, at times we have to answer to greater beings than ourselves. Hence I will be taking some time out to concentrate on my own ancestral callings. So from March 2016 I will be absent from all performances with The Soil.”
The group is however on the search for a new female vocalist to replace Mda.
