The Beatles are to release a new album containing 10 previously unreleased songs.
The English rock group is compiling tracks from BBC radio in 1963 and 1964, which will include 37 never-issued-before performances and studio banter, for their new collection ‘On Air – Live at the BBC Volume 2’.
The album, which is a follow-up to their 1994 collection of BBC recordings, will feature two songs, ‘Beautiful Dreamer’ and Chuck Berry’s ‘I’m Talking About You’, which have never been recorded for their label before and that have not had an official release.
Speaking about the recordings, Sir Paul McCartney is quoted by the Independent newspaper as saying: ”There’s a lot of energy and spirit. We are going for it, not holding back at all, trying to put in the best performance of our lifetimes.”
‘On Air-Live at the BBC Volume 2’ will also include different versions of 30 Beatles classics, such as ‘I Saw Her Standing There’, ‘Hippy Hippy Shake’, ‘I Got A Woman’, ‘Glad All Over’ and ‘Sure To Fall’.
The double CD is set for release on November 11.
