Somizi hunts for woman who called him a ‘homosexual k*****tjie’

Local reality TV star Somizi Mhlongo has promised to take Lia Meyer, who tweeted the since-deleted racist and homophobic comment: “Isn’t @somizi like a homosexual k*****tjie,” to court, and has asked for the help of “tweeter investigators (sic)” to find her, Daily Sun has reported.

Meyer, meanwhile, claims her account was hacked and that she did not write the offensive tweet.

“This is my account that was hacked,” posted Meyer in a message. “I would never make such a remark. I take no responsibility for the view that was expressed in that tweet and sincerely apologise for the horrific message that was sent out. Please understand that it was not me. I have requested that the account be deactivated and stopped from further hacking.”

A close friend of Meyer has backed up her story that the account was hacked, and says Meyer is currently under heavy sedation.

Somizi, meanwhile, is very angry over the tweet. “I’m taking legal steps. I’m waiting for my lawyers. I’m not letting this one slide. I want Lia to be another example of how South Africa has no place for racists. Such behaviour has to end.”

Whether Meyer can prove that her account was indeed hacked remains to be seen.
