Saffa star set for Jimmy Kimmel appearance

South African-born pop musician St. Lucia is set to soon perform on popular late-night talk show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'.

Born Jean-Philip Grobler in Johannesburg, St. Lucia spent a considerable part of his youth as a member of South Africa’s renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir School. Later in life he headed to the UK, where he studied in Liverpool for three years, and afterwards moved to Brooklyn in America.

St. Lucia signed to Neon Gold Records last year and through them re-released a self-titled EP previously put out independently.

His first full-length album, ‘When the Night’, was released in October, and it’s on the back of this well-received CD that St. Lucia secured the invitation to perform on Kimmel’s talk show with his live band comprised of Patricia Beranek, Nick Brown, Ross Clark, and Nick Paul.

Announcing the exciting news Facebook, he wrote: “YOU GUYZZZZ!!! We’re performing on Jimmy Kimmel this Tuesday, November 5th at 11:35pm EST. PRETTY EFFING PUMPED.”
