The actress believes it’s important for every South African as well as the rest of the world to go and watch Kalushi. “I wish the whole world could see this film. The caliber and the quality of the film can stand its own worldwide. Honestly and truly, if you’ve see the film you’ll know what I’m talking about. The acting, the production value, the sound, the music, the way we shot it & directed it is absolutely brilliant.”
Pearl believes the film will touch the hearts of many South Africans. “The message in the story is absolutely brilliant – especially for young people around the world. I guess more especially in South Africa because it’s something that’ll touch our hearts and we will know the sacrifices that were made for us to be able to do what we can do today. And also know that we can do more for ourselves today based on the type of legacy we have as a country.”
The Quantico actress went on to say we’re capable of so much more. “We are capable of so much more. Solomon didn’t know that he’d be such a great freedom fighter. He was just selling fruit on trains and being a hawker but he became a freedom fighter who died for his people. So you never know what life is going to spring at you. Just be ready and do the best that you can.”
