These include television presenters Boity Thulo and Buji Bikwa, gospel star Rebecca Malope, Dj Tira, actress Khanyi Mbau and kwaito kid Nkosinathi “Mzambiya” Zwane.
In this season each episode will showcase a day in the life of one of the celebrities.
Mzambiya agreed to the show because he didn’t want people to think he had faded away since his kwaito career went downhill a few years ago.
“A lot of people think that I am sitting at home doing nothing,” he says. “But I’m actually working on a lot of projects right now, like my television show which is coming soon. It’s a pity that I will only be featured in one episode, but I’m happy to be sharing this platform with other artists.”
Known for being an over the top entertainer, Bujy Bikwa joined the show so that he can show the more realistic side of his life.
“When people see me on TV, they see a lot of drama and fabulosity,” says the Cula Sibone presenter. “But what people don’t know is that I am still hustling and struggling to get to that next step in the entertainment industry. Viewers will get to see me at home where I am a lot calmer. The only thing I will be keeping a secret is my love life of course.”
Bad Reality
Just shortly after Khanyi Mbau featured in Reality Check, the actress and socialite will be showing a bit more of her life on Rolling With: Celeb Edition.
But the question is: How much more of Mbau’s reality have we have not seen? Last year it was rumoured that the actress would have her own reality show on e.tv, but we breathed a sigh of relief when the station denied this. Somehow she managed to get
herself on the show again. Mbau has worked hard to establish herself as a great actress on shows like Mzansi Love and Check Coast, but the truth is her reality is just not that interesting anymore.
Rolling with sis’Ribs
She is perhaps the most successful gospel artists of our time, and she’s managed to do so without having to reveal too much about her personal life. Choosing to speak mostly about her music and her faith, South Africans don’t really know much about Rebecca Malope.
If her personality as a judge on Clash of the Choirs is anything to go by, then we should expect an honest view on a day in the life sis’ Ribs as she is known by her fans. Hopefully we get to see a bit more of her family and what she does when she’s not inspiring people on television.
Love and laughter
Couples on reality television can be very entertaining and with comedians Tumi Morake and her husband Mpho Osei-Tutu we expect nothing less. Morake has made a name for herself as one of our countries best female comedians.
Osei-Tutu is a South African actor who was born in France to Mosotho and Ghanaian parents. The two have been together for more than a decade and have been married for four. It will be very interesting to see how the crazy comedian handles being a wife
and a mother of two on the show.
Rolling with: Celeb Edition premieres on Sunday at 6.30pm on e.tv.
