Following last week’s announcement by A+E Networks of the commissioning of a local version of Married at First Sight for Lifetime Africa, independent content creation company Oxyg3n Media is now on the lookout for participants to take part in this hit series.
In Married at First Sight, singles who have failed to find love put their hearts in the hands of a team of experts, who select their perfect partner; the couples then meet for the first time at the altar. After the wedding and honeymoon, the married couples move in together and start their new lives. From the first kiss to the first tears, cameras document every moment as experts analyse the relationships. Six weeks of marriage later, the couples have to make a decision to stay together or file for divorce.
“We are looking for singles who are committed to finding true love. This is not a series for those that are looking for fame, but rather for those who are genuinely looking to form a serious relationship and participate in a unique social experiment, the basis of which will form a truly entertaining and fascinating television series,” says Oxyg3n Media’s Rebecca Fuller Campbell.
Official entry criteria that need to be met:
- Only single men and women between the ages of 24 – 36 can apply;
- Have never before been married;
- Have never had children.
Non-official criteria:
- Are ready for a committed relationship;
- Feel that they’ve exhausted all options to finding love;
- Ready for a different approach to finding love;
- Brave!
